What is WIP?

WIP is the acronym for Women of Infinite Possibilities, our organization.

What are the benefits of joining WIP?

  • Entry into general meetings with dynamic speakers
  • Participation in the many WIP adventures, PEG groups, and Smart Women’s Day Out
  • Sponsorship at meetings

When are WIP meetings?

WIP generally meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at St. Anthony’s Gardens, 601 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433.  An average of 30-50 women at each meeting.

How much are the membership dues?

Annual membership dues are $60 for 12 months, and can be paid online or by check.

There any meeting fees?

Not for the General Meetings. Guests may attend their first meeting free!  There is a charge for the Smart Women’s Day Out, our Christmas Luncheon, and for some of the Adventures and PEGs.

What is a PEG?

PEGs are Personal Empowerment Groups. These are usually exploration and learning sessions that are open to all WIP members.  Typically, you must pre-register for the sessions, and there may be a cost involved, depending on the activity. They are usually led by our members.

What is a WIP Adventure?

The Adventures are like field trips for grownups! We have a great time and go on outings periodically. You must pre-register and there may be a fee, depending on the Adventure.

What is a Community Partner?

The Community Partners are the annually selected nonprofits that we help through volunteers, donations, and other support activities.  We encourage our members to actively help these organizations.

How are Community Partners selected?

Community Partners apply annually. The form for this is online. A nonprofit must be introduced by a member, their “Champion.” Each fall, we have the applicants pitch their project to the members. The members vote to select up to five organizations.
