Message from the President

Happy November,

During our October meeting those in attendance were able to pick the Turkey Feathers that had suggestions for donations for our Community Partners and their families. During our meeting in November, this week we will be wrapping our gifts. If you were not able to attend and pick a feather and would like to helps us contribute to our community partners during the Holiday Season, you are welcome to bring a gift card that we can give to our partners for a family in need. We will be wrapping the cards and the gifts Thursday at our meeting. If you have tape, scissors or wrapping paper that you are willing to share, please bring. We always have a great time wrapping the gifts and visiting without the structured meeting. November meeting is a great time to visit and get to know your fellow members. See you Thursday. Another important event for this year, will be our Holiday Luncheon at Benedicts, so please mark you calendars. Santa will be there, great food and wonderful companionship with a few fun activities. You may purchase your ticket for the Holiday luncheon at our November “Giving ” meeting. Thank you for making this a great year and lets make it extra special as we wrap up the year with our Giving and Holiday Celebration.

Adventure Update

This year is quickly coming to an end we would like to get one more adventure in. We plan to get
together and experience the OMBA Christmas Past Festival. It’s my understanding that there is plenty for families to do including caroling, a parade and tree lighting. This would be a great chance to have an adventure that your family could participate. Once the schedule is posted we will decide on the particulars and let you know. If you would like to join the adventures committee please feel free to contact Kim atmancinisouth01@yahoo.com or call at 504-239-0913.

We want to thank Debbie Mormino for hosting our last PEG gathering we had at St. Anthony’s Gardens on October 26th. We learned how to dress for your body type and how to build confidence.
